If Visio is too much, find something more simple...

We have a little talk about Ms. Visio,  a diagramming program for Microsoft Windows that uses vector graphics to create diagrams. One thing you need to do before use Visio is buy the product. What if you only need to create a simple flowchat? Visio is too much for that simple job? Then try Diagram Designer 1.22.

This software is a simple version of diagramming program, released by Meesoft. It also has same basic feature, simple vector graphics editor for creating flowcharts, UML class diagrams, illustrations and slide shows.

Features:

  • Customizable template object palette.
  • Spellchecker (see below about dictionaries).
  • Import/export WMF, EMF, BMP, JPEG, PNG, MNG, ICO, GIF and PCX images.
  • Slide show viewer.
  • Simple graph plotter to plot mathematical expressions.
  • Advanced "pocket" calculator with equation solver.
  • MeeSoft Image Analyzer integration for bitmap image editing and extended file format support.
  • Uses compressed file format for minimizing drawing file size.
Before creating a diagram for your presentation, read Digital Diagrams: How to Design and Present Statistical Information Effectively to make your performance better. If you need more feature then this freeware, but still lighter then Ms. Visio, you also can try FlowCharts & More (only 12.99 USD).
