[TIPS] Good Content and Good Copy = Good SEO

Image
Everyone know Google, the Internet giant with its search engine, Chrome browser and Chromium OS . Talking about search engine, some people will remember SEO, Search Engine Optimization. I got into search engine optimization from a writing angle and not, like many, from a web designer angle. I think this gives me a unique viewpoint and perhaps a certain strength. My primary focus when I accept an SEO job is on what I think is the best strategy: creating good content and copy. Concentrating on your site's written content is one sure-fire method to increase your search rankings. As the search algorithms change and adapt to the newest SEO tricks, and as the tricks adapt to the new algorithms, one thing will stay constant; good content is good content, and eventually it will get noticed. It may not happen immediately; in fact it may take quite a bit of time in some cases, but eventually the cream will rise to the top. Giving people useful, relevant, entertaining and well-written conte

Screenshots, screen dumps, or screen captures can be used to demonstrate a program, a particular problem a user might be hav

Get it better with disk defragmenter

Image
If you have managed your system with file manager , you can go further with "real file manager on hard drive".  Disk Defragmenter is a computer program included in Microsoft Windows designed to increase access speed by rearranging files stored on a disk to occupy contiguous storage locations, a technique commonly known as defragmenting. The purpose is to optimize the time it takes to read and write files to/from the disk by minimizing head travel time and maximizing the transfer rate. As of Windows XP, Disk Defragmenter is also used to improve system startup times.  Two softwares are recommended for this purpose: Auslogics Disk Defrag and MyDefrag .  Auslogics Disk Defrag is a compact and fast defragmenter that supports both FAT 16/32, and NTFS file systems. It is supplied with advanced optimization techniques, which will remedy your system sluggishness and crashes caused by files fragmentation. There are 7 advantages in using Auslogic Disk Defrag as mentioned on its we

Backup your system to avoid data loss

Image
You have a well organized system  containing 1 TB data, then something wrong happens, half of it is lost. Do you have your backup? In information technology, a backup or the process of backing up refers to making copies of data so that these additional copies may be used to restore the original after a data loss event. The verb is back up in two words, whereas the noun is backup (often used like an adjective in compound nouns). Backups are useful primarily for two purposes. The first is to restore a state following a disaster (called disaster recovery ). The second is to restore small numbers of files after they have been accidentally deleted or corrupted. Data loss is also very common. 66% of internet users have suffered from serious data loss. Some books are recommended to learn more about disaster recovery: IT Disaster Recovery Planning For Dummies Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Planning for IT Professionals The Disaster Recovery Handbook: A Step-by-Step Plan to Ens

Chromium OS - "UI under development. Designs are subject to change."

We've talked about Google Android , now we will check its brother, Chromium OS. Chromium OS is an open-source project designed by Google  that aims to build an operating system that provides a fast, simple, and more secure computing experience for people who spend most of their time on the web. Announced on July 7, 2009, Chromium OS is set to have a publicly available stable release during the second half of 2010.  You can review the project's design docs, obtain the source code, and contribute on its official site . To learn more about the project goals, read the announcement blog post . The operating system is based on Linux and will run only on specifically designed hardware. The user interface takes a minimalist approach, resembling that of the Chrome web browser. As a browser incorporating a media player will be the only application residing on the device, Google Chrome OS is aimed at users who spend most of their computer time on the Internet. Organize your file with file manager

Image
You are an MP3 collector? Or movie DVD collector? You have 500 Gigabytes hard drive, containing tons of files in ton of folders. Your Windows Explorer cant help you well, or you find so much limitation on it. Then maybe you need some alternatives for file manager. A file manager or file browser is a computer program that provides a user interface to work with file systems. The most common operations used are create, open, edit, view, print, play, rename, move, copy, delete, attributes, properties, search/find, and permissions. Files are typically displayed in a hierarchy. Some file managers contain features inspired by web browsers, including forward and back navigational buttons. Some file managers provide network connectivity such as FTP, NFS, SMB or WebDAV. This is achieved either by allowing the user to browse for a file server, connect to it and access the server's file system like a local file system, or by providing its own full client implementations for file server pro

Optimize your Windows by fixing your registry

Image
We have secured our system with anti virus , now we need to optimize it. Have u ever heard "Regedit" ? If you don;t know what Microsoft Windows Registry is, then you maybe need to read  Microsoft Windows Registry Guide  or  Mastering Windows XP Registry .  The Windows Registry is a hierarchical database that stores configuration settings and options on Microsoft Windows operating systems. It contains settings for low-level operating system components as well as the applications running on the platform: the kernel, device drivers, services, SAM, user interface and third party applications all make use of the Registry. The registry also provides a means to access counters for profiling system performance. When first introduced with Windows 3.1, the Windows registry's primary purpose was to store configuration information for COM-based components. With the introduction of Windows 95 and Windows NT, its use was extended to tidy up the profusion of per-program INI files th

Emulate your computer....

Image
We have discuss emulator for DOS and also for console that run on our computer. We also can " emulate " our computer in our computer.  This is called as Virtual Machine , a software implementation of a machine (i.e. a computer) that executes programs like a physical machine. A virtual machine was originally defined by Popek and Goldberg as " an efficient, isolated duplicate of a real machine ". Current use includes virtual machines which have no direct correspondence to any real hardware. Virtual machines are separated into two major categories, based on their use and degree of correspondence to any real machine. A system virtual machine provides a complete system platform which supports the execution of a complete operating system (OS). In contrast, a process virtual machine is designed to run a single program, which means that it supports a single process. An essential characteristic of a virtual machine is that the software running inside is limited to the re

[Joke] "Do you know what I want?"

Image
A certain guy had never had sex in his life, so his friend told him that he'd take him to a girl that  would teach him a few things. He agrees.  Later that week, he's in a room with the girl. She takes off her clothes, and asks him, "Do you know what I want?"  He says, quite honestly, "No.". She lies down on the bed, and asks him the same question again.  Again, he answers "No."  Now, she's not sure exactly what to do, so she spreads her legs all the way; we're talking spread-eagle.  She asks, "Now do you know what I want?"  He answers, "Yeah. You want the whole bed to yourself."

Me and Obama use BlackBerry, how about you?

Image
We have talked about a software for managing mobile device . Talking about mobile device wont be complete if we don't talk about Blackberry. I use BlackBerry (a Gemini , the simple one), even President of the United States Barack Obama became notorious for his dependence on a Blackberry device for communication during his 2008 presidential campaign. Despite the security issues, he insisted on using it even after inauguration, becoming the first President of the United States to use mobile e-mail . This was seen by some as akin to a "celebrity endorsement," which marketing experts have estimated to be worth between 25 and 50 million dollars. BlackBerry is a line of mobile e-mail and smartphone devices developed by Canadian company Research In Motion (RIM). While including typical smartphone applications (address book, calendar, to-do lists, etc., as well as telephone capabilities on newer models), the BlackBerry is primarily known for its ability to send and receive Inter

I'm Android. I'm not robot, I'm an operating system.

" My name is Khan. And I'm not a terrorist " Have watched that  DVD ? That's what Shahrukh Khan said in his Bollywood movie. Nope.. We will not talk about movie.. When i search "Android" in Wikipedia.org, i found " Android " as robot instead of " Android " as operating system. And somehow that sentence came to my mind. Android is an operating system (or, more precisely, a software stack) for mobile devices that includes middleware and key applications, and uses a modified version of the Linux kernel. It was initially developed by Android Inc., a firm later purchased by Google, and lately by the Open Handset Alliance. It allows developers to write managed code in the Java language, controlling the device via Google-developed Java libraries. The unveiling of the Android distribution on 5 November 2007 was announced with the founding of the Open Handset Alliance, a consortium of 65 hardware, software, and telecom companies devoted to adv
